Many websites need a password to sign in…but passwords alone aren’t enough to keep your account secure.
As you probably know, hackers and scammers are a problem for everyone on the internet. A weak password might be guessed, or a password that you've used on a different site could leak to a hacker. Scammers often try to trick people into revealing their passwords using fake emails or SMS messages that pretend to be from a legitimate website (this is called phishing).
2-step login is the best way to help keep your Tryst.link account safe. To log in, you need to enter your password AND use either a code from an authenticator app OR a security key/passkey from your device.
Because 2-step login uses a separate app or physical device, it’s difficult for hackers to access your account. Even if a scammer finds out your password, they probably won’t be able to get their hands on your authenticator app or the smartphone, tablet or PC that you use!
Tryst.link lets you set up 2-step login using:
- An authenticator app: generate a code using an app such as Google Authenticator.
- Security keys/passkeys: use a physical security key (such as USB stick or NFC chip) or the security features built in to your smartphone, tablet, or PC (such as fingerprint or facial recognition).
How to get started
2-step login must be set up by all Tryst.link advertisers.
When you sign up, or sign in (if you're an existing user), you’ll be asked to set up 2-step login right away.
Once you’ve set up 2-step login, you can manage these methods by clicking the Manage 2-step login button on the Account page. You may find the Account page on the navigation menu at the top of the Tryst.link dashboard.
