What happens if I enter the wrong authenticator app code?

If you're using an authenticator app, you have five attempts to successfully enter your unique code. After five failed attempts, you'll need to log in a different way.

If you have a security key or passkey set up, you can log in that way. If you don't have other 2-step login methods set up, you'll need to use your emergency recovery code to access your account.

⚠️ If you use your emergency recovery code to log in, you'll be supplied with a new code to replace the previous one. Write it down or print it out and store it somewhere safe (such as with your passport, birth certificate, and other important documents).

⚠️ Can't find your emergency recovery code? Please send us a support ticket. You'll need to verify your identity before we can provide access to your account.

Please note: Only provider accounts can be recovered. We can’t recover access to client accounts, as we cannot verify your ownership of the account.
