How do I disable 2-step login?

2-step login is one of the best ways to protect your account. For this reason, setting up 2-step login on your Tryst.link account is mandatory.

Although it’s not possible to disable 2-step login, you can manage your 2-step login methods individually. For example, you can remove a security key/passkey or authenticator app method, if you 're no longer using it. Or, if you start using a new smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can add a 2-step login method for that device.

⚠️ If you remove all of your 2-step login methods, you won’t be able to access your dashboard until you've set up 2-step login again.

Disable your authenticator app

  1. Log in to your Tryst.link account and head to the dashboard.
  2. Select Account from the navigation menu at the top of the dashboard.
  3. Scroll down, and click the Manage 2-step login button on the Account page.
  4. Click the Disable authenticator app button.
  5. If asked, enter your password in the password field, then click Disable authenticator app.

Remove a security key/passkey

  1. Log in to your Tryst account and head to the dashboard.
  2. Select Account from the navigation menu at the top of the dashboard.
  3. Click the Manage 2-step login button on the Account page.
  4. Click the Remove security key/passkey button.
  5. Select which security key/passkey you want to remove.
  6. If asked, enter your password in the password field, then click Remove security key/passkey.

Reset all 2-step login methods

Removing your 2-step login methods means that you will need to set up 2-step login again. You’ll be taken to the ‘Set up 2-step login’ page right away.

  1. Log in to your Tryst account and head to the dashboard.
  2. Select Account from the navigation menu at the top of the dashboard.
  3. Click the Manage account security button on the Account page.
