Tryst's photo guidelines

NOTE: Tryst doesn't currently support the HEIC image format used by Apple on their iOS devices. Please convert your images to JPG or PNG before uploading them to Tryst.

Photos you upload to Tryst must follow these guidelines. These allow us to maintain a consistent, quality experience for everyone using the site.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for stolen content. If we discover you are using content that is not your own, including AI-generated content, we will remove your profile and permanently ban you from Tryst.

To be approved, your photos must be:

  • Photos of you and only you, that you own the rights to use. (Two exceptions are listed below.)
  • Generally of good quality. They should be high resolution, reasonably sharp and in focus, and otherwise easy to make out. For your profile to look best, all photos should be over 700Ă—700 pixels.

Your photos may be rejected if they contain:

  • AI-generated or edited content.
  • Screenshots, collages/montages, borders, or text, including contact information.
  • Any photographer or provider watermark except a simple, small watermark of your name. Note that Tryst will automatically apply a small watermark in the lower right of each image.
  • Filters and stickers which cover up or drastically change large parts of the photo or your person, like the Snapchat dog filter.
  • Extreme close-ups of any body part, including genitals.
  • Real or simulated explicit sexual acts.
  • Weapons of any sort other than obviously fake cosplay items.
  • Real or artificial bodily fluids, such as blood, urine or faeces.
  • Illicit substances or any suggestion that they are for sale.
  • Vehicle license plates which have not been blurred or censored and are still readable.

Your photos may include:

  • A small number of unobtrusive stickers if used to hide your face, genitals, tattoos and so on for privacy reasons.
  • Beauty filters which do not make extreme changes to your appearance.
  • Crops or compositions which obscure your face or other features. For example, your photos may show you from the neck down, in silhouette, or from behind.
  • Other people, if and only if:
    • You are part of a double, have your double partner’s permission to appear in your photos, and have uploaded a verification photo of them to your account. This photo should meet our verification photo requirements. It can either contain both of you, or just them if the note specifies that you are adding them as a doubles partner.
    • You are listed in the BDSM category and a sub is included, as long as they are unidentifiable.
  • Full nudity, except for your thumbnail image.

Header and thumbnail images

Header images are shown at the top of your profile, and will look best if they are landscape (wider than they are tall). Tryst is designed to automatically centre these images, but does not otherwise edit them. You may prefer to crop your header image to get it looking just right.

Thumbnail images are shown in our search results and on our homepage. Please ensure your thumbnail image does not contain full nudity.

Photos which contain nudity may be against the terms of service of other platforms, even in the preview which is displayed when you (or we) share your Tryst profile as a link. Any header images, such as that on your banner, should not contain content which might result in our accounts and yours being banned or restricted on social media platforms.
