Tryst messaging does not currently have a built-in export feature. If you need a permanent record of your messages through Tryst, we recommend backing up messages as you go.
Backing up messages in bulk
To back up all your messages quickly, you can follow these steps:
- Open a conversation, then select all the text on the page, and copy it.
- On a computer, right-click on any text, then choose “Select all”. Right-click again, and choose “Copy”.
- On a phone or tablet, tap and hold on any text, then choose “Select all”. You should then be able to choose “Copy”.
- You can then paste it into any text editor, document, or app that stores text. You may prefer to save a new document for each conversation, or put them all in one file.
This method is quicker than highlighting just the conversation itself, especially on mobile, but it’ll include some extra text like the links in Tryst’s header and footer.
Storing messages
When you choose an app, program or method for saving your conversations, you may want to choose one which stores your conversations locally on your device. Many cloud storage platforms do not allow explicit content, and you may risk having your account deleted.
